One of John's favorite words is abide—to remain, stay connected, and stay rooted. The Christian life is not primarily about striving harder. It is about remaining connected to Jesus.
One of the most painful realities John addresses is watching people walk away from the faith. Church hurt, disappointment, betrayal, and broken relationships can shake us deeply.
