Dear Church Family
I hope you are all having a wonderful and blessed week.
I had a heart breaking opportunity this past Monday, to visit the lower keys and see the devastation and dire need of the families there.
I went with my brother and sister in-law to help them assess their damage and it was quickly apparent that they would not be able to return and need to leave their lives and three businesses behind. It's a mess and no rhyme or reason, no matter the size of the house wether it was on stilts or not, close to the shore or inland.
These people need help, they need hope and the love of Jesus.
We have made contact with a church in Big Pine Key, one of the hardest hit areas in the lower Keys. They need manual labor help, clean up, organize and distribute donated goods and food.
This coming Tuesday September 26th we will be making a day trip to help, here are the details:
Date: Tuesday September 26th
Time: 7am till 9pm
Departure: We are departing at 7am from the Rise Warehouse
Return: We are leaving the Keys by 5:30pm
Transportation: Car Pool
Details on how you will help:
Manual Labor
Bring a chainsaw and fuel
Pile trash and wood
Help residents clean up homes/ chop trees
Clean up debris in trash bags
Help church sort donated items received and distribute donated items when people come
What to wear:
If you will be doing manual work- long pants, bright colored shirt, sturdy work boots, or shoes with thick soles- work gloves, sun glasses, hat, sunscreen, bug spray.
If you are helping in general areas: you may wear shorts and Tshirts & sneakers

Tarps
Rakes/ shovels
Chainsaws and fuel
Lysol spray
Lysol wipes
Gloves
Baby wipes
Please bring items to Rise Warehouse by Sunday September 24th.
