About the Destination

Location

Thailand is located in Southeast Asia, sharing borders with Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar (Burma). The mission begins by flying into Bangkok, followed by travel to Chiang Mai, a hub for outreach to nearby communities.

Language

The primary language is Thai.
Greet locals with a warm “S̄wạs̄dī” (สวัสดี).

Current Situation: Why It Matters

Myanmar Refugee Crisis

Following the 2021 military coup in Myanmar, the region has been gripped by violent conflict, displacing over 1.6 million people, destroying 55,000+ buildings, and forcing 40,000+ refugees into neighboring countries like Thailand.

Our mission responds directly to this humanitarian crisis—bringing aid, hope, and Christ’s love to those affected.

Ministry Opportunities

We partner with local ministries near the Thai-Myanmar border to provide:

Refugee Relief

• Emergency food and medical assistance

• Outreach to refugee families and children

Children’s Homes

• Support 14 children’s homes near Chiang Mai

• Lead camps, play activities, share God’s love

Pastor Training

• Disciple and equip local church leaders

• Provide encouragement, teaching, and spiritual growth

Cultural & Spiritual Experience

In addition to service, you'll experience:

• Local Thai history, architecture, and heritage sites

• Shared meals and fellowship with communities

• The richness of worship and discipleship across cultures

Trip Cost Overview

• Estimated Cost: $2,500 per person

• Includes: Flights, lodging, meals, ground transportation
