Scripture Reading

1 John 4:12–15
12
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

Reflection

We often look for God in dramatic moments—a miracle, an answered prayer, or a mountaintop experience. But John reminds us that God is often seen in ordinary moments of love. Every act of forgiveness, compassion, generosity, and sacrifice becomes evidence of His presence.

This week, begin paying attention to where God is already at work around you. You may discover that He has been closer than you realized.

Reflection Questions

  • Where have I been expecting to see God?

  • Have I overlooked His presence in ordinary moments?

  • Who has reflected God's love to me recently?

  • How might God want to reveal Himself through me today?

Prayer

Father, open my eyes to see You in the ordinary moments of life. Help me recognize Your presence in creation, in relationships, and in simple acts of love. Let my life become a place where others can catch a glimpse of You. Amen.
